The Ergo is the most comfortable baby carrier for your toddler or pre-schooler, but we like our Mei Tai for more versatility, ease of use and comfort. Both are great baby backpack carriers. The Ergo transfers more of the weight to your hips and does not have long straps to deal with. We find the Mei Tai a bit easier to get the baby into, especially for front carrying.

All of these baby carriers can be worn on the front as well as the back and are suitable for babies from 2 months to 3 years. However, we prefer them for babies who are over 5 months.
